THE LAKE HOUSE OF POSSIBILITY brings together ten vegan interior designers from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany, each bringing their own perspective, aesthetic and design language to one extraordinary collaborative project.

Created by the International Vegan Interior Design Association (IVIDA), the virtual showhouse is set in a lakefront home at Missouriโ€™s Lake of the Ozarks. Each designer was invited to shape a distinct space within the house, responding to the people who live there, the landscape of Missouriโ€™s Lake of the Ozarks and the possibilities of designing without animal-derived materials.

Launched at Decorex '26, this special lakeside house is a wonderful opportunity to show off our research and demonstrate that a compassionate, ethical interior is just as luxurious and luscious at those the rest of our industry produce. In the draw for who gets which room, I drew the poolside living room with bar and powder room. With views to the bending river -formed lakes and waterfalls. My design takes itโ€™s references solely from the surrounding nature - providing an immersive, calming biophilic experience for the family and visitors - shielding them from the heat of the day or relaxing in the evening with views out to the water. The shapes, colours, textures and ornament are replicating the local biodiversity.
